Thursday's Things I Am Loving

I feel like I don't have a whole lot to blog about these days, with the girls in school and all.  We aren't getting to do crafts and fun stuff during the day like we were during the summer.  And if I took pictures of what I do throughout the day, I am afraid I would bore all of you to tears *Ü*

So I thought I would do a "things I am loving" post.  Thursday's Things I am Loving...it just sort of has a nice ring to it.

So first off is Brach's Ice Blue Mint Coolers.  I love these mints.  One, the color is just pure awesomeness.  But more importantly, they taste so good...like a sweet peppermint.  These aren't anything new.  I remember eating these years ago, and then they just sort of disappeared (or so I thought).  I am happy to report that Dollar General sells them...for a dollar a bag.
I owe this next one to my blog friend, Kasey Chrismond (her blog is private so I won't link to it).  Biscoff Spread.  Kasey put a picture of the stuff on her blog a few weeks ago, so I grabbed a jar of it at Wal-Mart...having no idea what in the world it was or what it would taste like.  Between the girls and me, our first jar was gone in a matter of hours.  I have laid off of it a little bit as I am trying not to expand my waistline at the present time.  But me oh my is this stuff good!!  And I must not be the only one that thinks so, because I was just in Wal-Mart the other day, and there was none on the shelf...just a big empty hole where it should have been!
I think I have shared my love for EOS lip balm on here before.  They have the best flavors, and it lasts FOREVER!  I am currently loving the flavor "lemon drop."
Way back when, there was a store in our town called the Bath Station.  If you are from where I am, you probably remember it.  It was in the front of the mall that had McRaes (currently Belk...and only Belk...no other stores in the so-called "mall").  Then it moved over to Jackson Square where it stayed for several years.  Anyways...they sold Crabtree and Evelyn products.  My favorite thing in the store was Crabtree and Evelyn's powder leaves.  The were the best oil blotters and left a little bit of powder on your face.  I would go through booklets of them like crazy especially during highschool...and when I say go through them like crazy, I mean I think I would use one between every single class!  Well, I haven't been able to find powder leaves in years, but lo and behold when I went to Sally's Beauty Supply the other day to purchase some bobby pins to match my hair, I found these packets of rice paper.  I snapped one up and love, love, love them.
Ya'll know I love doing laundry.  And I love for my laundry to smell really, really good.  When I first started seeing commercials for in-wash scent boosters, I thought hmmmmpf...NOTHING can make laundry smell better than Gain detergent and Downy fabric softener.  Boy was I wrong.  I bought one bottle of the stuff because I had a coupon and was hooked.  I will say that I use it VERY sparingly...for a couple of reasons...one being that it costs more than just a couple of dollars...and two being that Jason told me his nose hairs were burning everytime he put a t-shirt over his head.  The scent is very strong, so you don't have to use much at all!
Purex makes a cheaper but still great smelling version.  It too is very strong, so I am careful about how much I use.  This big bottle has lasted a long time so far.
Along more simple lines, it is still hot as all get out down in in Mississippi (and everywhere else in the south) so I am drinking lots of lemon water sweetened with a little bit of Splenda.  Our of a mason jar with a bright straw makes it more fun, of course!
I am also loving handwritten notes.  I need to write more of them myself.
So those are some things I am loving right now!

Are those Mint Coolers like the ones Ms. McCoy had in her candy jar? Sweet memories! :) Years ago a friend gave me some Crabtree and Evelyn products from the Summer Hill line. I've never used them but use them for decoration in my bathroom. I love to see the things you love!
