Lalaloopsy dolls are a favorite...
We opened gifts from under the tree after they looked at what Santa brought. I had painted a few of these angels for gifts this year and decided the girls needed their own too...
I was excited to find some new boots under the tree for me!
Jason and I were so eager to finish up Santa and opening presents, because we knew thebiggest gift was waiting to be revealed. I have shared a few of these pictures already, but I am going to share them again, because it is what made this Christmas the best ever!
We told the girls that Daddy had been working on a present for them that was too big to bring to the house. So we all loaded up in the car and headed to see it. The girls thought we were headed to Jason's office (we may or may not have told them a little fib). However, on the way, we decided to stop at Nana and Gran's house...which is where the big surprise actually was. Jason and his Dad have been working very hard to rework the fence surrounding the pasture and stable at their house (they had horses back when Jason was growing up).
Jason came up with the wording for the sign we hung on the pasture gate...It was freezing cold and raining when we got to their house. There was so much excitement, though, that nobody seemed to notice. When we got out of the car, the girls took off up to the house, but stopped dead in their tracks when they heard the gallop and loud whinny of a horse.
Can you say perfect timing on the horse's part??!! Words cannot express my girls' reaction to the horse! It was one of the sweetest, most precious moments for our family ever.
It was so awesome! Like I mentioned in my last blog post, Prince is the horse the girls have been taking riding lessons on. I think one of the things that made everything so perfect was that the girls knew him, and he knew the girls already.
One of my favorite pictures from the morning...
Love this picture of Prince wearing his special halter from Jason's Mom...
After all the excitement, we headed back home to get ready for our ten o'clock Christmas church service.
I think this picture is so sweet (especially as they are at my feet right now fighting over a game of UNO)...
After church, we headed back to Jason's parents' house to spend the rest of the day celebrating Christmas with his side of the family.
Taking a picture of the 7 Willcutt grandchildren is a challenge, but I'm always up for it. Even if it does mean causing everybody to have to wait to eat. Sorry!!
Opening presents is always fun and crazy with this many kids!
My girls were super excited about their gifts, especially their new North Face jackets...
I can truly say, it's been the best Christmas ever!
We are so very blessed!
