Happy Birthday, Bessie Boo!

Bes is 2, so we had a party to go to this morning!! The theme was a "gift" theme...only the gifts weren't for the birthday girl, they were for "Toys for Tots." I thought this was such a wonderful idea for a party. Our children have so much, and with Christmas right around the corner (literally!), Amy decided that the toys that were brought to the party would be donated to children who aren't as fortunate.
Let me just tell you...my dear friend Amy is one brave soul...25 kids (5 and under), cupcake decorating, sprinkles galore...you do the math.
But oh what a fun party it was! I think the Mommies had more fun than the kids!!
Happy birthday, Bessie-Boo! We love you!!

Let Us Be Thankful...Part 3

Today, we headed down to the Willcutt camphouse (aka "The Looney Bin") to celebrate Thanksgiving one more time...well...one more time with food, that is. Yes, the girls have on their owl shirts again, but I promise they are clean! And so are the girls! We DID have baths =)
Macy enjoyed some floor time with Caroline...Looks like Lucy was sneaking a bite of something...
This is my absolute favorite picture of Tatum...
Here is Caroline, looking so much like Lucy did when she was little bitty...sucking that thumb and all! Little Miss Tatum rides Big Mr. Amos...
These 3 are DEFINITELY Willcutts!
Sorry, Uncle Brad, for cutting you out of the picture, but that is just what happens when you put a cute little pink hat on a cute little girl and get her to look at the camera making a cute little face.
Trying to get the perfectest of pictures once again...I think this one is pretty good!
Audrey sticks pretty close to me these days when we are all together =)
The other Willcutts...
Here is Jon with all of the kids except for the babies and Lucy Grace...maybe the weight limit on the 4-wheeler isn't exceeded by too much.
Macy and Lucy with Uncle Brad...looking like they could be his kids...look at the eyes!
Brothers and sisters...
Brian, Jennifer, and Avery...
Henry...who was determined that I was NOT going to get his picture. Sort of reminded me of one of my own...Lucy, maybe?

More of Audrey...

Macy went hunting with Gran.
And Lucy went with her Daddy. She did a little better this time after that 10 minutes of practicing yesterday =) We remembered to make her go to the bathroom first.
Thanksgiving was wonderful this year!!

Let Us Be Thankful...Part 2

We spent Thanksgiving night in the Country with my parents and family. After staying up late and sleeping in (if you call 7:00 a.m. sleeping in), we got up and ate some more and played all day long. We literally ALL stayed in our pajamas (well, most of us, anyway) ALL day long...my kind of day for sure! Knowing this was going to be the case, I didn't even pack clothes for Friday. Uncle Brent decided to let Macy and Carson (being at the totally sophisticated ages of 7 and 5) do some target shooting with a .22 shotgun. I can assure you it could not have been more safe than my brother had it set up to be!
Macy was ALL into it. Bless her, she went from not knowing where the trigger was to hitting her target almost in the bullseye.
The we thought we'd let the kids show off their newly-acquired talents in the deer woods. Just kidding. They did, however, all load up and go hunting for the afternoon (or more like for the next 10 minutes...my girls do NOT know how to be quiet! Nor do they know they should try to use the bathroom before going on a hunt!).

See? I told you some of us were in our pajamas all day! Maybe it was the bright pajama pants and the pink polka dot coat that scared the deer away instead of a 4 year old who didn't know how to be very still or quiet!!

Let Us Be Thankful...Part 1

These two little girls remind me to give thanks to our Maker every day. I cannot imagine being any more blessed than I already am. I have the two most precious little girls (who will ALWAYS be little girls to me!) and the best husband I could have ever asked for. He even agreed to pose for a picture with me, knowing it would eventually show up here...as long as it was an o.k. picture of me...I have learned the "let's make my arms look skinny" pose =)
And to have so many little ones around that you have to take 125 pictures to get the perfect one...that is such a sweet blessing.
Here are the Willcutt grandchildren...
And the Willcutt grandchildren plus the 2 Guthrie little ones...
Meet Miss Tatum (Jason's brother's little girl). Her Mommy blogs about her here. Little does Tatum-tot know...she'll be playing right along with the big kids by next Thanksgiving!
And the precious owl shirts? My dear friend, Melanie, made them for us!
Shhh...don't tell Jason that I put another picture of him on here. He is a little funny about having his pictures posted. But you know how I am about his profile =)

Avery and Macy pushed the little ones in the wheelbarrow...they had so much fun...especially when they started "accidentally" dumping the little ones out!
After spending the day with the Willcutt / Guthrie families, we headed to the Country to have Thanksgiving with the Hollis family. You've seen this precious lady before...
She is bundled up in my Snuggie =) I know, I know...ya'll probably all laugh at those silly commercials advertising these things...but let me tell you...they are awesome!!! So I'm a sucker, I know, but I seriously looooove my pink Snuggie!! And here's a little secret...KMart has them for $ 14.99, and Dollar General has them for $ 15.00. Guess who is getting her very own for Christmas?!
We did some crafts with the kids while we were waiting for all the men to get back from hunting.
My Nana showed them how to make candy cane mice to hang on the Christmas tree (she made them at Arts and Crafts one day)...

And here are some turkies made from fudge stripe cookies, chocolate covered cherries (my favorite!), chocolate frosting, and candy corn. I love the way Carson is trying to look at the camera through the hole in the cookie =)

And I was once again reminded of the precious blessings of little ones...I think I took about 75 pictures this time, as Lucy was in one of her anti-"pitcher" taking moods yet again.
Carson and Umple JJ...
Bippy was sure to bring all kinds of LSU loot now that she has moved to yet another collegiate town. Thank goodness, at least we have her back in the SEC again. Here is Lucy with Mike the Tiger (I think Lucy thinks Mike the Tiger lives WITH Bippy).
Don't worry, Nick, we are not going to turn full-blooded LSU fans, I promise!
Carson and Macy are modeling some of the "Geaux Cottages" t-shirts that Bippy brought for the adults.
There was tons of food, tons of laughs, and most importantly, tons of love to share on this Thanksgiving day. We are so blessed!!
