Our Weekend...

Our weekend started on Friday with Macy's actual birthday (we have been celebrating ALL week)...Macy is 7!

I put a "7" candle in her Pop-Tart...that child loves a brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tart for sure :)

And guess who came to visit us??!!

Sara Whitten and Lilly! We have been sooo excited about them coming to visit us! As soon as they walked in the door, Lucy jumped on the couch with those little fat hands outstretched and said "Gimme Lilly."
And then, Mama Macy got her, and never let her go :)

Can you tell just how excited Macy was for Lilly to be here?

Lilly is such a good baby and did great at our house. Our baby bed finally got slept in for a WHOLE night! We spent a lot of time with one of Sara Whitten's best friends from home, Mandy, who lives just up the road from us. Mandy has 2 little boys pretty close to my girls' ages and also has a little girl just a few months older than Lilly. We had a great time visiting and playing at Mandy's house! My nephew and Mandy's little boy played against each other in wee ball Friday night, so we enjoyed getting to watch them play at the park.

Lilly is one tough little cookie...she survived Lucy!
We had such a fun time with Sara Whitten and Lilly being here!
Today was a beautiful day! We played outside for a while this afternoon. Remember ladybug-loving Lucy? Today she was a butterfly-loving Lucy...this butterfly kept landing on me, and Lucy finally was able to catch it. She loves all things creepy-crawly!
Hope ya'll have a happy week!!

Happy Birthday, Macy!

It is officially Macy's birthday! She was born at 1:10 a.m. (I am convinced that is why she is such a night owl).

Happy birthday, Macy!! We love you so very, very much!!

Another Birthday Party!

Tonight was ALL about this girl of mine...
...and much to my disbelief, she wanted her Mama to make COOKIES for her birthday dinner, as long as she could "design" them herself :) So...she picked pink cookies with her name in turquoise (she is MY child after all) and purple for the outline. I think her design was adorable!
Those of you who know me know that she got the ability to flare her nostrils from her Mama :) She can sure flare them, although they haven't started wiggling when she laughs yet.

She got several American Girl crafts books and storybooks. Looks like we'll be crafting for a while, and she'll be busy reading all summer!
She was LOVING that pony bag and cute poodle.
This towel is just adorable...this is my favorite monogram font of all times...in turquoise :) with a pink ribbon :)
Here are the kissing cousins. It is a challenge to get a picture of all 4 of them, but this one turned out adorable...maybe we can photshop those bruises off of Lucy's face (they are healing nicely now and have turned a marvelous shade of green).
Here is Macy with Pepe and JisJis (my parents).

My big birthday girl :)

My big birthday girl and her tough-as-nails little sister.

We decided to give Macy her presents from us tonight...she was SO excited to get the American Girl doll "Kit" Kittredge.

Now her "Macy" doll has a new friend...they are sleeping soundly in their trundle bed right now (in our room, of course).
Best friends!!

Mother Goose Day (Also Known As Thursday)

Thursday is more commonly known around our house as "Mother Goose Day" :) Here are the girls as we are on our way out the door...the ladybugs (Lucy, Lily, and Lola) got to go for "show and tell."
Today is Gran's birthday...happy birthday, Gran! We love you!!

Birthday Party, Redneck Mama, and Playing Outside

Last night, Jason and I braved our first slumber party. Macy wanted 3 little girls to spend the night for her birthday this year. This is SO different than what we have done in the past, but it is what Macy really wanted. It was great!! I didn't really know what to expect (the last spend-the-night party Macy went to ended up with us going to pick her up at midnight...you know we live out in the sticks, so it took half an hour just to get to the little girl's house to get Macy), but it went over so well, and honestly, there was less to pick up than there is after a normal day around here.
The Cookie Mama's little girl did NOT want cookies at her party. So...I decided I would make her cake myself (thanks to my new friends, Melanie and Samantha). Then I decided that I would NOT make her cake myself (thanks to my new friends, Melanie and Samantha). I think I scored big time with this adorable cake from Kroger! I went to every grocery store in town with a bakery and let out a little silent scream when I found this one. All I did was add "happy birthday Macy" to it, and it was perfect!!

I do have bunches of pictures from the party, but I don't want to be disrespectful to those who don't do the whole blogging thing and put their little girls' pictures on here, so I'll just share the ones with my girls :)
Jason had this great idea to let the girls paint canvases. And what a great idea that was! Those little girls painted for a loooong time...almost in total silence!
Little sister had as much fun painting her SELF as she did painted her canvas :)
Here is sweet Macy's finished masterpiece :) The girls all did wonderful jobs and were all very different. I love seeing different personalities when there are several little ones together.

Today, I decided I'd be cool (aka redneck) and ride the girls on Jason's 4-wheeler. Never mind the fact that I had to call Jason at work to ask how to crank the thing and how to get it in reverse to get it out of the garage. He made me promise not to go too fast. Um, o.k. I am trying to be cool here.

Does this look like cool? And no, it is not what you think it is...well, sort of not. Remember how our plumbing exploded several weeks ago? Well, since we have had 14 feet of rain in the last month, um, well...let's just not go there...we'll call this mud :) The ONE time (seriously, Jason) that I decided to go fast, we ended up looking like this.

While this child started screaming, Macy couldn't believe I had just taken them "mud riding" and for a minute, I was the coolest Mom ever (better yet, I was the coolest PARENT ever...until Jason got home at least).

Lucy was wearing one of Macy's hand-me-down outfits today...one of my very FAVORITE outfits that Macy had. Lucy kept saying "but my outfit was so pwetty (pretty)" and crying because she was covered in mud. But with the help of this...
...and this...Lucy's outfit is just as "pwetty" as ever, and would you believe that Macy's shorts came perfectly clean??
It took us almost an hour to clean up, then we headed back outside for some leisurely fun.
Macy LOVES to read. I was the same way when I was little.

We broke out the freezer pops for the first time...the ones in the red mesh bag from Wal-Mart...the best kind in the world.

Pardon the very dirty fingernails, but Lucy found a ladybug...she squeezed this little thing between her fingers for half an hour, until we decided to make it a home in the old hermit crab cage. Macy found another one, so we had 2 ladybugs in a cage. Tonight as we were looking at them, we noticed a 3rd one...nobody knows where it came from...surely ladybugs don't multiply THAT fast.

I'm off to bed before this balloon literally gives me a heart attack. When we were outside today, I kept seeing it bob up and down and thought somebody was in our house. Tonight, it keeps covering up the lights in the kitchen and making a shadow, and it feels like somebody is standing there over me. I think I am just tired from my lack of sleep last night :) Good night!

Memorial Day Weekend

We have had a very nice Memorial Day weekend!
Here are Macy and Lucy in their red, white, and (turquoise) blue for church yesterday. Bless this child and her shiner...it is looking worse and worse every day, but I guess that means it is getting better...you know how bruises do.
Macy had her first birthday celebration yesterday at her Nana and Gran's house (Jason's parents). This is a week full of Willcutt family birthdays!
We headed to my parents' camphouse to spend the night last night. We played all day today with Carson and Cade and lots of water toys. The kids had a blast (and so did the parents)!! I got to drive one of those fancy lawnmowers (you know the kind that drive real fast, like they cut baseball fields with?)...I think I laughed harder at myself than I have in a long time...it was fun!! Too bad I don't have a picture of it...I think my Mom does :)
I had to throw in this picture of Jason...I just his profile (like I stare at him when he is driving...I think sometimes it freaks him out). I do love all of him, but his profile is just my favorite :)
Here is "Pistol Pearl" blowing the smoke of her water gun. This child is crazy, I tell you.
Here is Lucy doing what she does best...EATING! A butter biscuit in one hand, and a chocolate biscuit in the other. The girl could not be happier.
Macy and Lucy had these precious outfits that my Mom made them for Memorial Day and 4th of July (so you'll get to see it again in a month or so!). I never got a picture of Macy in hers...she was too busy playing in the water. Isn't it just precious??
We have been trying to explain what "Memorial Day" means to the girls. It is a little hard for them to understand, but I think Macy is getting the meaning of it.
I hope ya'll all had a wonderful weekend! I am off to sip on my medium diet coke with 2 shots of vanilla (thanks to Jason, who just got back from town with it) and watch the long-awaited premiere of "Jon and Kate Plus 8 Season 5"...I am SO excited!!
